IS THE CARIBBEAN/ DOMINICA PREPARED FOR CORONAVIRUS EPIDEMIC?

Guys, let's face it... How many of us know exactly what this whole coronavirus situation is really about? How many of us can say yes, I am truly informed but the better questions here are what does it entail? Should we, as a people, be afraid? What has our leaders, those we put in high position to keep us duly informed and to work in our best interests, doing to protect we the citizens? Are the right informations being sent out by them or are they... themselves lagging behind the shadows of utter ignorance because they do not know? If this is the case... where does that leave us all? This "new" COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus seems to be the face of our slow but ultimate destruction... they say... and has claimed the lives of a few thousand, while 10s of thousands more are affected and being infected as we speak. This, of course, is very common in the locations in and surrounding China and has so far been found in over 60 countries worldwide. There isn't any cure... they say... and this illness is being said to have started creeping into the Caribbean Islands... they say. When it comes down to the Caribbean islands like Dominica, are we taking this global pandemonium of a threat... seriously? One thing we at BrBpTV know for sure, is that there is a lot to be discovered since we went out to the streets of Roseau Dominica to find out what persons had to say on the issue of the Novel Coronavirus. Featured today, is one of the Mystelics YT Famalay, Mecka D. from Dominica but living in New York City.

PORTSMOUTH IS WAKING UP AND ASKING QUESTIONS

It is the Political season here in the Nature Isle of the Caribbean and it is very important to start asking questions! Questions that need answers to be given. The decision on whether we should bring back the present team or replace with a new team is up for grabs. This is why we are here today. The underdogs in the political arena have taken to the streets to voice their opinions and to challenge the status quo in Portsmouth. Many questions were placed to the people who passed by and these questions still have not been answered still today. It is now crunch time and the question on my mind is will the people of Portsmouth take heed or will they continue to put a blind eye, or deaf ear, to the issues that bother them for the sake of handouts and the mighty dollar.

DOMINICAN NURSES PROTESTING BECAUSE THEY CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE

Health... If I am mistaken, is very important for every single human being, animal, and living thing on this planet. But what happens when the systems which are to set up to keep us healthy are failing? Not only just failing but are neglected by the very caretakers who need to ensure that our healthcare system is up to par and flourishing. THAT IS NOT THE CASE!!! This is why we are here today and the nurses have taken to the streets to protest against Healthcare incompetencies. How on earth do we have the main healthcare facility in such deplorable and degrading conditions? This is unacceptable and the Dominica Minister of Health and colleagues should be ashamed of themselves.

DOMINICA HEALTHCARE: WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

Healthcare is one of the foundations of an elevating and striving economy but when it comes down to healthcare in the Caribbean, especially in Dominica, can we say that we are truly getting better? We took to the streets of Roseau, Dominica, the capital city, to find out from persons what they thought about Dominica Healthcare, especially considering that a prominent member of society fell victim behind his wheels and is fighting for his life. We are always accustom of hearing the phrase, "Fly them out" instead of, "We got this covered". Does this ring true? Let us find out what the people of Dominica have to say.

DOMINICA BIKERS DEFINITELY LEFT THEIR MARK IN ST. LUCIA YET AGAIN! @BrBpTV Interviews

It is one thing when your people do not accept you due to a certain false dogma on something but entering into a different country and seeing a totally different side. Funny thing about that is both countries are similar in almost all of its ways. I am speaking on the islands of Dominica and St lucia. These two islands are pretty much the same and even the people speak very similarly in many ways but the defining point is known as The Bike Life. Whereas Dominica looks down on bikes and bikers, St lucia looks to elevate and further produce even more bikers. For the enthusiasts of Dominica, going to St lucia was like going into bike paradise and for this reason we are here today! Mystelics from Mystelics Vlogs asked his audience if they would like to an interview with the bikers as they left St. Lucia and they quickly demanded that it needs to be done. Dominican bikers went down to St lucia for St Lucia's 39th Independence Celebration and guess what they did to celebrate. They went down with their bikes to meet up with other Caribbean Islands who also went to St Lucia with their bikes to celebrate. If you haven't caught on yet, St Lucia celebrates its Independence including bikers and bike enthusiasts and that in itself brings out even more revenue to the island. DOMINICA CALYPSO FINALS 2018, WHO WILL WIN? @BrBpTV Street SHOUT

We have taken over the streets of Roseau, the capital city of Dominica, to find out what persons think and have to say on Dominica's Calypso Season 2018, its songs, and who will win the Calypso Finals this year. From the offset of things, there seems to have been a lot of mixed reactions on who will win and you know what that means right? That this is a great thing! Why? because it shows that calypsonians have chosen to step up their game! See... to challenge the likes of King Dice(8 time winner) and King Karessah(2017 Calypso King), you have to come good to beat these guys. Trust me when I say, the competition is really tight with some calypsonians coming back with rebuttals on the kings! haha! You have to love calypso! It's not only about the calypsonians who do a great job of delivering the performances though, we must also give huge kudos and props to the songwriters as well. It is they who take their time out to study and see what best way is their to portray thought to song and the artist singing it to deliver it perfectly. Just listening to the lyrical content this year... it sounds like everyone is coming for each others necks... in friendly competition of course.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT DICE LOOTERS SONG? @BRBPTV STREET SHOUT

Calypso Season 2018 brings yet more light to a number of issues but what we must ask is, are the songs being sung by these great Calypso artists(calypsonians) ring true to society or not? This is what brings us here today. King Dice, the 8 time Calypso King of Dominica is back again with yet another song that challenges the status quo of society and that song name is Looters! Many believe that the song is glorifying Looters and their looting ways while others believe the song is speaking truth to what went on just after the passage of Hurricane Maria that left the island in state of near apocalypse! Was Dice right to sing the song the way he did? Was Dice sending a message to the certain people in power out there? What was Dice doing the right thing?
I share the view that if what's being said, no matter who says it, is the truth, it should reign as truth and not be blasted because certain persons feel the song is attacking them or not. "If is true my brother, d ting true!" Calypso, most times here in Dominica, sheds light to the ills of society that many people don't seem to see is affecting them, and I for one know that if it wasn't for calypso, many persons would turn a blind eye to the issues at hand. Take for example, the 100 million dollars that was set aside for the Layou River Project, somehow, mysteriously vanished. Do you know many persons did not know about that? This is wht I think calypso on a whole is vital. This is what different individuals had to say about the Dice Looters song! Have a look.

PENVILLE FIVE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN DOMINICA @BrBpTV STREET SHOUT

One of the greatest burdens to bear in this life is that of sudden death. Why does death, unbeknown to itself, have to walk into people's life forcing us into great sadden and sometimes even deep depression. Yes, I understand that death is a part of the living but why do we have to go? Why can't we enjoy to fulfilment of life and what it has to offer before we finally agree that enough is enough? Unfortunately, reality is far from my own silly imagination and wishes. This is why I always advocate that we should always be prepared for death because death has no friend or family member. If it did... I would make sure no one I know dies because I know what it is like to lose so many people; friends, family and acquaintances over the years, and today I lost another friend. He is part of the Penville Five and goes by the name Chris Marcellin. Just the eerie shock of hearing one of your close classmates die, after seeing him just 2 weeks prior in a concert, no words can be uttered. I remember that night in Grandbay, where individuals from all over the Caribbean decended on the last night of The Summer Camp for Chris's last concert. Man did we have fun that night under some glorious live positive music... not realizing that a few days later he would be gone. I tell you! Hmm... Not, however, discounting the other 4 young men who were also vibrant, full of potential, members of their village known as Penville.
These individuals that we speak off today, came from their village feast and were on their way home only to have found themselves in a bit of a pickle that resulted in their vehicle plunging over a precipice! That day changed the entire outcome of not just their friends and families but the whole country by extension. As one individual said in the street shout, "five too many". We would like to send our condolences to the friends and family and wish God's speed in this time of need. This is what some individuals had to say on the incident. Have a look below.

WHO WILL WIN NBA FINALS 2017? GSW VS CAVS @BrBpTV Street Shout

Let's skip to the chase! I am not one to sit around to mop on who will win and who will lose. Anytime.... and I mean ANYTIME... anytime GSW aka Golden State Warriors is playing, the other side has to lose. I believe in GSW and I want them to win every single game there is in basketball. For those of you who don't realize yet... I am A GSW fan hehe so me going out in the streets of NYC, is to find other GSW fans... lol okay I really wanted to see what persons thought of the game and which side they were backing. Last year GSW was up 3 to 1 and CAVS came back and won the last 4 games taking the finals. Surely, Lebron James and Kyrie Irving had a huge task ahead of them and they, with their other team members, literally destroyed Golden State Warriors in 2016.
This year, GSW has been winning consistently and just lost to CAVS in the previous game bringing things back to how they were in 2016, a 3, 1 toss up in favor of the Golden State Warriors. So we took it to the streets to see who felt a repeat would happen or Golden State Warriors would finally take back the trophy. There is a not so common but climbing trend in society where the very "many(few)" seem to think that gender is a made phenomenon of society and that this shouldn't be at all. In schools today, kids are being taught that a man isn't a man and a woman isn't... in fact... a woman. Stranger things have happened i'm sure. Those in "power" who is deemed to be "smarter" than the average joe, because of money, seem to be trying to twist common sense into incontrovertible nonsensical dogma. Take for example, sight! Those with eyes to see let them see right? NO! That's what they are telling you. What you see isn't real and what is real is really in the mind. This is what brings us to our segment here today. Male Rompers! Taking women's clothes and trying to make it applicable to men.
Now the funny thing about this "fashion trend" is that it is entitled MALE Rompers while the very people who claim male and female is a mental thing, are classifying it which means that they know what they are doing to push this agenda.  Well... it is absolute rubbish in my books and a man should wear what is for men and a woman for woman. This is my take on this "male" rompers scenario but let us take it to the streets of New York to hear what persons have to say on the male rompers. I pray God this nonsense doesn't catch on.

DOMINICAN THOUGHTS ON THE NEW BRIDGE BUILT IN ROSEAU @BrBpTV Street Shout

Excitement as i've come to realize is very relative. Usually, people get excited for the birth of a new child; for a family member or friend who has graduated into another stage in life; for someone who has beaten cancer; but for a bridge though? *side eye* Now, don't get me wrong, I think development is a good thing and it's the duty of those in power to ensure that the citizens are given the best possible outcome in projects done but here me out. How does building a new bridge create such excitement whereby there becomes what seems to be somewhat of a second session of carnival for the year? It's just a bridge... Moreover, was the previous bridge in such a bad state that it had to be replaced? No... believe it or not the previous bridge was very much useful and in a good state and the only reason why the new bridge was built, was to enhance the look of the Capital city. Outside of that... what's the excitement? I believe, if you pay taxes for road building, these things should happen right or wrong? and thus the excitement level should be just in approval because this is what should be done. Or are we at a stage here in the Caribbean where even building bridges are seen as an accomplishment? Take a listen to what the audience has to say about it.

MAN ALMOST LOSES HIS HEAD IN DOMESTIC SQUABBLE... @BrBpTV Street Shout

Domestic Squabbles are a-usual thing everywhere around the world today, and no matter how many preventative measures have been put in place, nothing seems to curb it. Usually these disputes happen due to a great deal of misunderstanding and misinformation. Why is this you may ask? Well, we believe that it has a lot to do with ego, pride and personal thoughts on matters. Take for example a situation that happened in my past; I've had people try to fight me for things that I've never done! Crazy right? I know!!! I didn't mind though... I liked to fight back then anyway. :p But this was due to the hearsay of yet another misinformed individual who misinformed yet another individual and ended in squabbles. You know there is a saying that goes to the effect that, words passed through time... changes; yet we human beings don't seem to learn this. There is an exercise that we use to do when we were pre-teens and every time we did this exercise, the results would always be the same. Let's take 20 people and place them in a single line... then whisper the phrase, "I like to eat porridge in the morning" in the ear of the 1st person and tell them to pass it on. One hundred percent of the time you will get a different phrase by the end of the 20th person. You may end up with phrases like, "I like to pour rain in the mornings" or even go as far as "I like to poke grains in the morning". heheh This is why it is always important to fact check and make certain of information before making decisions that could cost you life imprisonment or even your life.
This situation here today, has a lot to do with misunderstanding and taking and making drastic decisions that almost made an individual lose his head and a pregnant lady... her baby. For this cause, we BrBpTV went out to find what persons had to say about the incident and to find ways in which these situations could be prevented. Have a look. :)

MAN GETS SERIOUSLY HEARTBROKEN @BRBPTV STREET SHOUT

What happens when you really love someone? And I am speaking about really, really, REALLY loving someone and hoping that this person loves you the same and, if you are lucky and blessed, even more. So you treat this person with the uttermost respect and love and try to give them what you think they would need and want, depending on if you can afford it. Then all of a sudden this person, who you are head over heels for, seemingly drops you like a bag of hot potatoes and goes about their merry way? Not only that, but that person willfully puts your "dirty laundry of begging" out there for the public to see? What would you do in this situation?
This is where we, BrBpTV, come in and upon hearing of such a travesty, we went out into the public to see what could be done in light of this present situation and what advice can be given to persons who seem struck by this high level type of cupidness on a daily basis? Love, my friends, is a very delicate and interesting emotion and as you will hear in this BrBpTV Street Shout Interview, we believe that it should not be taken for granted.
The man here today, is in serious pain because he feels he has done his very best to make his girlfriend happy; sacrificing his time and money to ensure that she has a fighting chance at life. Upon being somewhat successful at that, the woman he loves then leaves him to continue her own path in life. This is how it went down and what persons had to say on the issue.
