WORLD CREOLE MUSIC FESTIVAL SUNDAY EDITION 2016
The World Creole Music Festival, commonly known as 'Creole Fest' is one of Dominica's, and dare I say, one of the Caribbean's most prize festivals. This festival takes place during the Creole/Independence Season in Dominica and happens on the last weekend of October(Friday, Saturday and Sunday) just after yet another phenomenal event known as Creole in the Park. Creole in the Park(CITP) takes place in Dominica's Botanical Gardens; a wide enough area that can take thousands upon thousands of people. At one pointing time, there was even a census stating that over 100,000 people were at the Botanical Gardens for one of the years that Creole in the Park went on. So this is to show the magnitude of support that these types of events receive. Surely, WCMF is much grander in style and stature and takes place at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
Last year, the WCMF had to be cancelled due to the unforeseen disaster of Tropical Storm Erika which, and I kid you not, brought so much rain that it merged all the rivers of Dominica causing serious flooding on the island. Many persons lost their lives, families, properties and will to survive at that time. It was as if mother nature was punishing us for not paying her much attention but we rose up like the Phoenix from the waters and regained strength to continue. This year we are back and stronger than ever to deliver. In this Episode we showcased what took place on the last night of Creole Fest and on that night brought the likes of Breve Music out of Dominica, Akon, all the way from Africa, Gentleman, all the way from Germany, and many others to our shores. There were numerous artists of that night who did a phenomenal job but in this BrBpTV Episode we highlighted a few and this was why. Please have a look at Episode Above.

Live Jazz and Creole Festival 2016 Concert Dominica
Jazz festivals are increasingly becoming a favored must-go event, especially across the Caribbean Islands. The wonderful thing about this is, these types of events like in the Webisode below, is for everyone! This to me is the most exciting part because everyone gets to share in and hear a piece of Jazz and by piece, I mean a whole lot. The Jazz and Creole festival doesn't only come with the musical artistry of the artists alone but the atmosphere is also one of invitation to all walks, sizes and ages. Moreover, the young ones get exposed to this musical art forms at an early age and thus end up participating in and loving it. In this format, they gain an understand of jazz that can only increase as they get older so it's a win-win for everyone. The kiddies also get to be kids at the playground- bouncy castle set up for them to play in. Food is also a huge part of this Jazz and Creole celebration and there you will find some of the best meals but you don't have to take my word for it, I will let the patrons speak for themselves.
What has been taking place all over the world has been a quickly growing part of the Caribbean Dominican people for quite some time. From the onset of jazz music mixed with creole comes the live Jazz and Creole Festival 2016 taking place at the Fort Shirley National Park known as the Cabrits National Park in Portsmouth, Dominica. The Jazz and Creole Concert 2016 comprised of Jazz artists like Soft, Cameron Pierre with Breve, Andy Carell Quartet, Cadence All Stars and more. Have a look at the Webisode below, leave yoru views and come join up with us NEXT YEAR!

DEVINE PLANS ON GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP ON BrBpTV Interview
What happens when you follow your dreams? What happens when you are tired doing things that have absolutely nothing to do with your pursuit to happiness? Have you ever felt like doing much more than you are doing but don't know how or what to do? Well, this isn't an informercial, so we don't "got all the answers" unfortunately. :'( But what we do know is that with the first step, there is progress and the only thing left to do is to take yet another step forward. This has been the mark of every successful person who has chosen to utilize their own abilities despite of. Leonardo da Vinci took that first step and painted the Mona Lisa... no he didn't! He first had to draw sticks men before he got to create The Mona Lisa and this is why we are here today. To talk about paintings? No... but to speak MUSIC! SideNote - I probably should have made reference to a musical artist rather than a legendary painter right? I agree :) But you get the point.
Devine Songs is the artist name, the reggae artist out of Dominica, who fills every lyrical content and rhythm with nothing but love and a conscious vibe. MADEA, MA BUTTACUP PLANS TO TAKE YOU ON @BrBpTV Interview
For the persons who know of Dominica and the endless potential to which it offers, we must all come to the conclusion that Dominica is filled with an overabundance of great talent. Why do I say this? Well.. it's simple really. Because it's a fact and we will prove it to you yet again today. It is as if this little island known as the Nature Isle of the Caribbean, births in as much as a 1:1 ration of talent. The Individuals who are born here are birthed to leave an impact either in their environment and/or the world by extension. Talent ranging from music, to the arts, in the theatrics of plays to modeling of fashion, the list goes on. In this great exhibition of skill and talent, we definitely need an outlet and I think you must agree with me when I say, "What good is talent if you don't have an outlet to showcase it in" right? This is where we come to an abrupt halt. Outlets are hard to find, to be honest, but we must be thankful for the opportunity that social media has given to us all. And for those who are passionate enough to keep going, we find some relief in social media.
Today, BrBpTV interviews a young man by the name of Jahmal, from the community of Portsmouth, Dominica who has indeed found refuge in the social media platforms of Facebook and Youtube. Jingle Jam ENT., as his entertainment platform is termed, brings to the thousands of fans he has managed to attract comedic skits that they deem very relatable. Jahmal plays various characters on his comedic skits and one famous character that is probably a house hold name by now is Jingle Jam's(another character) Grandmother known as Ma Buttacup. Like that of Madea, Jahmal promises that Ma Buttacup is planning to take on Tyler Perry's Madea in the not to distant future. Hopefully, both Ma Buttacup and Madea will be able to do a collaboration together. The possibility of that happening might change the course of the comedic world as we know it! Check out the BrBpTV Interview below.
