Rabbit Festival Activities

Rabbit Festival? hmm... We have heard of all kinds of delicacies across the Caribbean Region and the world but Rabbit delicacies? Well, maybe you have heard of such but I have not so it is only adamant that I go to find out what this is all about. Personally, I think of rabbits as pets that make little baby rabbits that look like cute fur balls. Thank God they're not making a meal out of these little guys so they have a chance to live their lives to the fullest. ;) I'm just saying. Anyway, people like to eat and anything that tastes good is good enough for me. Some may deny their rights to eat because they feel that others will call them names but I know deep in their heart of hearts, they too love to eat and I am speaking of some of the people you will see in this episode. :) Food is delicious and there is always the need to try new things instead of the usual all the time and this is why people try out different styles of meat and vegetation. I try to do the same... sometimes.
Here today, the meals that are on display comes from Rabbit meat. Yes, it is strictly about the rabbits and the atmosphere surrounding rabbits. Rabbit meat is a delicacy in the Caribbean, especially in the Island of Dominica and I must admit I did not know this until now. Sad? Yes I know. We have Rabbits being the point of many dishes like the rabbit stew, fried rabbit, boiled rabbit, rabbit water, rabbit soup and the list of tasty rabbit food goes on.
Like that of the Chinese, when it comes to rice, they create all sorts of different dishes with it and this is the same format applied today. The food also looks great and smells great too so I will surely be trying out one of these dishes as well. It is not only about eating but also a socializing event with lots of games, fun, dancing, prize winning, music and even rabbit races. Let's take a look at this Rabbit Festival. Enjoy.
